About Nic
Nic DeMore is the founder of Foundations of Architecture (FOA) and a self-educated home design enthusiast based in Milwaukee, WI. With a background in mechanical engineering from Marquette University, Nic spent years studying architecture through deep immersion — watching hundreds of hours of design content, absorbing principles from architects and designers, and applying everything directly to the design of his own dream home. That process revealed a gap: most homeowners approach the biggest design decision of their lives without the vocabulary, frameworks, or confidence to direct it well. FOA was built to close that gap. Nic is not an architect — he is a homeowner who learned what architects know, and built a course to help others do the same.
